We continue to hold the health and safety of our congregation and the Evansville community as a high priority. We monitor the Center for Disease Control, Federal and State of Indiana updates, as well as local trends and information in order to make wise decisions in conjunction with the latest information. Evansville’s mayor has asked the community to help stem the tide of the COVID-19 virus by wearing masks in public. As we pray about the current situation, we want to do our part in stemming the recent tide of cases. So, starting again this weekend, we will be requiring masks to be worn in our live in-person weekend services. We have masks available for those who may need one. Remember the wearing of a mask is for others around us and not just our own safety. We are so blessed to be able to meet and worship our Savior together. We want to make sure our gathering is done in the safest manner possible. We realize that attending one of our live services is a personal decision that requires you to take multiple factors into consideration as you make your decision. We respect your decision and fully support you in it. We understand masks can be annoying and uncomfortable, but we would love to still see you this weekend!
Second, our Summer Fun Night is being postponed except for the baptisms. Weeks ago, when we began planning this night, the number of cases of COVID-19 was on the decline. Our hope was that the decline in cases would have continued. Our plan was to have something for everyone as a way to continue to reopen CFC. We’ve put the event on hold except for the baptisms. We invite you to come and hear the testimonies of those being baptized and celebrate with them as they publicly declare their faith in Christ. Baptisms will at the CFC lake at 6:30 PM. Thanks for your understanding.
If you can’t be with us for in-person services, you can always go HERE to stream any of our 4 services. Stay safe, and we hope to see you this weekend!
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (NIV)
