In 49 States...

Good morning, CFC. As many of you know, the game of basketball really had its origins in Indiana. Even James Naismith, who invented the game in 1891, said after watching an Indiana high school basketball tournament in 1925, “While the game was invented in Massachusetts, basketball really had its origin in Indiana, which remains the center of the sport.”

In this great state, there is a saying: “In 49 states, it’s just basketball, but this is Indiana.”

Many of you spent much of your time yesterday watching, following, or getting updates about the games, and you will again today too. You likely filled out a bracket, only to be disappointed with your picks after one day. March Madness is a fun time for many.

We came across an article about why we love March Madness from The Gospel Coalition, and we wanted to share it with you.

Everyone loves an underdog story. We pray that as you watch these games and enjoy fellowship with friends and family, you would ultimately remember, live out, and share your underdog story and the hope that you have in Jesus with others!

Christian, in the end, WE WIN because of Jesus. Enjoy your day. We look forward to worshiping King Jesus, the undefeated One, with you this weekend!
