3 Ways to Pray

Good morning, CFC Family! We hope your week has gone well and that you have been able to see God at work in your life. At CFC, we have 6 core values, and one is children and students. God has really been at work within CFC Kids. I know some of you heard this a few weeks ago during our services, but here is a word from our Children's Ministry Team Leader, Kyle Carnahan:

God has, once again, been blessing the work that CFC Kids’ volunteers have been doing so faithfully. In fact, over a six-week period in January and February, CFC Kids served 608 different kids. That is up 21% from our attendance numbers at that time last year. In fact, to get numbers that high last year, you had to look at a six-week period that included Easter. For this to be true in the middle of winter is very encouraging. While these kids haven't all been here on the same week, CFC Kids' weekly numbers have been growing as well. In fact, the weekly average attendance for this January/February was nearly 36% higher than last year. How often our families are attending services has been improving as well. The bottom line is that CFC Kids is growing!

As the Children’s Ministry at our church grows, our staff and volunteers are focused on the goal of making disciples--not just putting on a program. CFC Kids’ volunteers want to connect with kids as individuals--not simply as a "class.” More children in the ministry means that we have more opportunities to plug in volunteers.

Would you please pray:

1. that God would send new teachers and table leaders. More table leaders will ensure that, even in larger classrooms, kids can connect with a trusted adult that they look forward to seeing each weekend.

2. that the Lord will raise up more volunteers for the nursery.

3. that the Lord would raise up new Sidekicks for our Specific Needs Ministry as well.

As you pray, if God puts someone on your heart who might be a good fit as a teacher, table leader, nursery team member, or Sidekick, could you let them know about the opportunity to serve in CFC Kids? Find out more about serving in CFC Kids or apply to serve now at onlinecfc.com/servekids.

CFC isn’t all about numbers, but we do believe healthy things grow, and sometimes that is in numbers. Our prayer is certainly not only for numerical growth, but also that we have all we need to disciple and instruct these students. Thanks for praying for God to raise up faithful followers in our congregation to help reach our kids here at CFC.

Whether you have had an amazing week or a difficult week, our God is still worthy of our praise, and we hope you'll join us at one of our four services this weekend. As always, especially if it’s been a difficult week, let us know how we can pray for and serve you. See you soon!
