Making Disciples of All People

Part 1: Commands and Strategy - Dale Dale Beaver 03/15/2020 Watch Listen Notes

In the world today, there are over 3.1 billion people without access to the Gospel and that number grows by 60,000 each day……..CFC dedicates 15% of all of our offerings, and earmarks them for global outreach.

Many times our projects are holistic. This means we will meet the physical, social and emotional needs of people while always leading to spiritual transformation. Our priority is on the unengaged and unreached.

Isaiah 49:3-6

He said to me, “You are my servant, Israel,

and you will bring me glory.”

I replied, “But my work seems so useless!

I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose.

Yet I leave it all in the Lord’s hand; I will trust God for my reward.”

And now the Lord speaks—

the one who formed me in my mother’s womb to be his servant,

who commissioned me to bring Israel back to him.

The Lord has honored me, and my God has given me strength.

He says, “You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me.

I will make you a light to the Gentiles,

and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.”

Our greatest purpose in life is to bring God glory

Isaiah 49:3

He said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, and you will bring me glory.”

Isaiah 42:8

“I am the Lord; that is my name!

I will not give my glory to anyone else.”

Hebrews 1:1-3

Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.

It is natural to feel inadequate to our task

Isaiah 49:4-5

I replied, “But my work seems so useless!

I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose.

Yet I leave it all in the Lord’s hand; I will trust God for my reward.”

And now the Lord speaks—

the one who formed me in my mother’s womb to be his servant,

who commissioned me to bring Israel back to him.

The Lord has honored me, and my God has given me strength.

The glory of God is revealed through the salvation of man

We glorify God by making disciples of all people

Isaiah 49:6

He says, “You will do more than restore the people of Israel to me.

I will make you a light to the Gentiles,

and you will bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.”

Habbakuk 2:14

For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the Lord.

Revelation 15:3b-4

“Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty.

Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations.

Who will not fear you, Lord, and glorify your name?

For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you,

for your righteous deeds have been revealed.”

Part 2: Making Missions Personal Nathan Hazel 03/22/2020 Watch Listen Notes

Is the church a place you attend, or is it a movement you are personally a part of?

Acts 1:6-8 NLT
So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him, “Lord, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?” He replied, “The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

The message captured their hearts and minds. Has it yours?

Acts 4:12 NLT
There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

The Apostles yielded themselves to the leadership of the Spirit. Have you?

Acts 1:1 NLT
In my first book I told you, Theophilus, about everything Jesus began to do and teach.

Here at CFC we say this…. you can GO, SEND, PRAY! Everyone has a role.

Part 3: The Global Effects of Missions Dale Beaver 03/29/2020 Watch Listen Notes

Colossians 1:2
We are writing to God’s holy people in the city of Colosse, who are faithful brothers and sisters in Christ.  May God our Father give you grace and peace.

Colossians 1:3-5
We always pray for you, and we give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all of God’s people, which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this expectation ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News.

Colossians 2:6
This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace.

Genesis 50:20
You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.

Colossians 4:2-4
Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains. Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should.

Colossians 4:5-6
Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.

Make the most of every opportunity and prepare for the opportunities to come.
