Connect to the Church

Elder Notes

Frequently you will hear how phrases like "Here's how to get connected to the church." Or you might wonder why we have a Connection Center. A definition of connection is: association, relationship, a circle of friends or associates or a member of such a circle.

Being connected to the church is important. We were designed to live out the Christian life with others. There are dozens of Scripture verses that are "one another" verses that require us to be connected relationally. That relationship is to be close, so close that we are referred to as brothers and sisters. It doesn't get any closer than family.

Being connected also gives us a few extra benefits. We meet new friends and develop life-long relationships, and we have friends to spur us on, pray for and encourage us.

What's the best way to get connected? Serve! God has called each one of His people to serve in some capacity. He has gifted you and created you with unique skills and talents that He wants you to use for His purposes. Serving in this way is actually an amazing form of worship.

So are you serving in the church? If not, there are dozens of amazing opportunities for you to use your skills, gifts, abilities and passion to build the Kingdom. Our staff is here to help. One of the main tasks of our staff is to help equip, train, and encourage you in the work of the ministry. If you need a starting point, you can go here:

One of the biggest roadblocks to serving is our busy schedules. Don’t let that stand in the way of you fulfilling God's purposes for your life and finding the blessings He has in store for you. You can do it! We can help.
