Getting to Know...Ann Corbett
What is your position/role at CFC? (what’s your title and quick summary of what you do)
CFCKids Elementary Assistant Director- I write and prep A LOT of lessons & activities for anything involving elementary-aged kiddos (Sunday mornings, Generation Now, VBS) along with an amazing team of volunteers & staff.
How long have you been at CFC?
I have been at CFC since May 2003, on staff since July 2016
Family – married? Kids – names/ages?
Jonathan and I got married here at CFC 10 years ago. We have 3 children, Sarah, David & Minnie (the world's cutest chiweenie).
Other than Jesus, what character of the Bible are you most looking forward to meeting?
I can't wait to meet Paul.
Favorite scripture passage?
Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
If you’re not at church or home, where’s the next likely place to find you? Favorite thing to do in your spare time?
I spend a lot of time at Hebron School or Target (we live close enough to walk :)). I love to read!
Who consistently makes you laugh?
Carolyn Wallace- I love working next to her!!!
If you weren’t in ministry (at CFC), what would you likely be doing (vocationally)?
I was a stay-at-home mom and volunteering at CFC & Hebron before I started my job here. That is most likely what I would be doing.
Other than the Bible, what’s the best book you’ve read recently?
Raising Kingdom Kids by Tony Evans. If you are a parent of a school-aged child (18 or younger) and you haven't read this book, stop reading this post and order it now. I also have a few extra copies to share, so if you are in the elementary hallway this weekend, stop and ask me about it. :)
If that doesn't apply to you (or even if it does), I also recommend Listen, Love, Repeat:Other-Centered Living in a Self-Centered World by Karen Ehman.
Favorite fruit and/or vegetable?
I love berries and cucumbers.
What is God teaching/revealing to you these days?
God is teaching me to slow down and seek Him in the midst of midst of my busyness.
Where were you born? Where did you grow up?
I was born in Wheeling, WV. My family moved to Evansville when I was 5.
Favorite part about working at CFC?
The CFCKids staff is amazing! I love working with this group of ladies!
Favorite TV show from your childhood? Favorite TV show these days?
I loved watching the original Mickey Mouse Club (with Annette Funicello). Now, my favorite shows are NCIS and The Amazing Race
What are most looking forward to doing again in the spring/summer?
I'm looking forward to having slower mornings b/c I don't have to get the kids out the door to school so early.

What is your pet peeve?
Whiny children (according to David)
What music/artist/song are you listening to these days?
VBS music and a few different multi-artist worship CDs.
