Kris Holzmeyer | Director of Discipleship and Assimilation
I am an Evansville native and graduate of Harrison High School (’92). My wife Missy and I have two children – Kyle and Sammi. Both of our kids are adopted from China.
I came to know the Lord in 1992. Since that time, prayer has become a staple in my life. I love praying for others and watching God work in their lives. The aspect of my job I enjoy the most is spending time with others encouraging them to walk closer to the Lord.
I graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 1997 with a degree in Communications / Public Relations. I received my Masters Degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in 2004. My favorite verse of Scripture is John 14:6.
My favorite movies are Hoosiers, Rocky, and Karate Kid. The author who has impacted me the most is Mark Batterson (The Circle Maker – 2012).
Two places I enjoy visiting more than any other are Washington, D.C. and Disney World. Through adoption and mission trips, we have had the opportunity to travel the globe. I have no other place I would rather live than Evansville, Indiana USA.
I am an avid college basketball fan. My favorite teams are the Evansville Purple Aces and Indiana Hoosiers.
One thing people might be surprised to know about me is that I have opened both the U.S. House of Representatives (2012) and U.S. Senate (2013) in prayer and I am a caplain with the Evansville Police Department.
