I. Course Description: This one-semester course will examine the concept of a worldview, provide a basic understanding of a distinctly Christian worldview, and survey other worldviews that influence our culture.
II. Course Objectives:
- To gain an understanding of worldview expressed as a story that answers basic questions about all of reality.
- To develop each student’s understanding of and response to various worldviews that challenge the Christian worldview.
- To assist the student in understanding the thinking and philosophical orientation of modern popular culture in which the student must live and minister, so that his witness might be more effective and to the point in answering the questions of his culture.
- To develop each student’s ability to think critically about the ideas and assumptions of others, as well as their own.
- To assist the student in building a philosophical/theological framework within which to analyze and respond to the unfolding trends of modern (or post-modern) culture in order to bring the truth claims of Christianity to the public square and the Church.

- To complete any homework assignments.
- To attend and mentally engage yourself in class regularly.
- To share what you are learning with others in your life.
