Study will include the biblical foundations and historical development of each doctrine, leading to a contemporary systematic understanding, in order to apply these doctrines in Christian life and ministry.

II. Course Objectives:
To present in a systematic, understandable way the biblical teaching on major Christian doctrines.
To help students understand the theological controversies that have swirled around these doctrines in the course of church history, and to take at least a provisional position on the issues raised by those controversies.
To help students recognize those issues of Christian doctrine on which they need to come to a position of settled confidence and those issues about which they can be content with some uncertainty.
To gain a respect for other points of view within Christianity and instill humility in thinking about our own beliefs.
To allow our study of theology to lead us into a deeper walk with Christ, and to equip us for more effective ministry in His name.
